Penny Toy

What do you find on a routine basis? and why do you think this happens to/for you?

also, ever found anything in the sand,and what things have you found and do you enjoy finding things or not?
why or why not?

I have a "usual list" of things that I find, mostly!
I.D. cards,rubber balls, marbles, or glass that you put into plant holders,guitar picks, jewlery, money..(I have a joke about finding my "11 cents" a dime and a penny!) LOL!,also,dog toys and kids toys,clothing,knives,(I found a small Victorinox red swiss army knife," the basic" one,(in the sand!)
also, pens,pencils,tools, shovels and sand toys, and odd things like cups and glasses, etcoh,and peoples photos, and bank cards(which I always return, along with the I.D. cards also..usually!, and if it is a lot of money, or expensive(like the diamond ring I found,I turn that in too!)..and whatever..I forget..but, that is what I usually find! What about you?

I love finding things everywhere!I don't even use a metal detector..I just see them and find them!!LOL!

I like your question! My husband finds money all the time but I'm not so lucky. Outside of a bank he found almost $100 in 20 dollar bills just blowing around in the wind. We tried to find the owner but never did...awww schucks. But most of the time it's change.
I found a huge business payroll checkbook in a grocery cart once and a purse with everything in it in a parking lot. We managed to return both of those.
But the funniest thing is at my daughter's house. When she first moved into this fixer-upper we found pennies all over the place. We didn't keep count but there was a lot! Then over the 7 years they've lived there all of a sudden a penny will appear, like in the middle of the floor she just vacuumed or mopped. They find pennies in the yard while gardening and in the grass. Very weird!

Typewriters are popular collectibles, especially very early models, and typewriters with past famous owners or a particularly interesting pedigree, which often fetch very high prices on eBay.

Because they're bulky, often dirty, need lots of careful cleaning and sometimes repairs, most typewriters, old and modern, are overlooked and fetched low prices at local offline auction houses.

Despite this, anyone prepared to spend time cleaning, researching, repairing and eventually packing a typewriter, will find ready bidders on eBay in both the UK and USA, and no doubt other country sites, too.

Typewriters don't always fetch fabulous prices, but most early typewriters, from the late 1800s and early 1900s rarely go unsold on eBay so you're almost always going to make money.

Recent eBay prices range from £73 for an early Empire Typewriter from 1892, to £380 for a Salter Standard Victorian Typewriter in original tin carry case. More unusual typewriter types attract premium prices, such as a Braille typewriter that went for £142 and an early double keyboard model that fetched £127.

Outside of eBay some far higher prices have been achieved for very early and unusual typewriter models which are worth remembering at buying expeditions. For example, at Sotheby's a Merritt typewriter from 1895 went for £715 some years ago, and at Koln in Germany The Auction Team valued a rare Imperial Typewriter, one of only three known to exist, at between £7,000 and £8,000.

Since the first successful commercial typewriters were introduced in the late 1860s many unusual designs have emerged, some plain and simple, others intricate and stunningly detailed. One of the simplest and earliest designs had a wheel with letters round the edge which was turned manually until the required letter appeared in front of the paper and was pushed to form an impression.

More complicated typewriters had double keyboards, one for lower case, the other for capitals, and were created in brass and mother of pearl hand painted with glorious gilded leaves and flowers. These are the kind of unusual models to watch out for at non-specialist auctions and they're almost certain to attract high prices on eBay.

These early models sometimes crop up at specialist typewriter auctions where they invariably fetch a high price. Not the place to buy in expectation of high resell fees on eBay but worth visiting for research and experience.

Like most collectibles, value depends mainly on rarity, not just age. For example, one of the earliest serviceable typewriters, the Underwood, created from 1900 to 1932 was made in the millions and can still be found in working condition, consequently they are worth very little.

Tips

* There are no catalogues or price guides for old typewriters such as those you'll find updated annually for postcards and stamps, coins and ceramics. There simply aren't enough collectors, or typewriters, to warrant special listings. Value, like many low volume collectibles is best determined at auction, and is the point where the price someone is willing to pay matches what the current owner will accept. By far the highest prices are paid for typewriters in good, clean, working condition, with or without restoration work.

* You should clean typewriters carefully, getting right into the tiniest of grooves without causing damage to keys which were often long and spindly and unexpectedly delicate. Here's just a tiny few of their suggestions:

'A toothbrush and a nail brush can be helpful.

For a gentler initial cleaning on a basically clean machine, try Endust or Pledge (be cautious around decals (transfers), as occasionally these products can harm them).

For an even gentler and safer cleaning, simply use a few drops of dishwashing liquid dissolved in water.

Q-tips (similar to cotton buds) are very nice for cleaning hard-to-reach areas.

For initial dust removal, the vacuum-cleaner hose attachment kits sold in computer and computer supply stores and catalogues work very well!'

* Best places to buy are at general auction or from long established office equipment stores, but rarely will you get a bargain from antiques and second-hand dealers who invariably think old means valuable, for most items, and often they are wrong.

* This is one of those collectibles you really need to study and learn what makes one older item worthless and a more modern type quite valuable. Web sites and books listed later provide much useful information. Choose one or both of those books mentioned later, they're packed with pictures, and keep them close by on buying days.

* Don't expect to make more than fifty pounds or so on most early typewriters, but remember you can pick them up very cheaply indeed, I've seen them fetch less than a tenner at local auction. The trick to making money is to buy typewriters in good condition, but dirty, and spend time cleaning them up and taking several great photographs to display them from all angles for listing on eBay.

* Be careful about delivery costs. These early models are extremely heavy and may cost way more to have delivered than they themselves are worth. Where possible, look for local buyers or others willing to collect.

do I need to replace the front derailleur?

My friend has just bought a second hand mountain bike, When I try to change up into the largest chain wheel ( there are 3 ) the chain jams in the front derailleur. I have tried adjusting the front derailleur to allow the chain to be moved further over towards the larger chain wheel but it still jams. I suspect the front derailleur is slightly bent or the larger chain wheel bent. The bike is more of a budget bike and the front derailleur dose seem to be made of fairly soft pressed steel (buscuit tin metal LOL). However it dose change well between the first 2 gears.

Would I have to open the chain to fit a new front derailleur?

Also Im guessing the correct way to possion the front derailleur is to have the chain centered in it then tighten it to the frame.

The derailleur may be positioned too low on the frame. Move it up if it appears to need more clearance it should have a couple mm clearance from the tips of the big ring's teeth. You need to release the cable from the derailleur to do this.

It's easy to see if the large chain ring is bent. Spin the pedals backward and look at it. A very little wobble is OK.

You don't break the chain for a new derailleur replacement. At the bottom tip of the derailleur cage is a screw that holds it together. Take the derailleur off the bike so you can get to it.

Generally, to position a ft. derailleur, put the chain on the middle chain ring and closest to the middle cog on the back. It should line up with the chain in this middle position. Finally, position it so it clears the big ring like stated above. You may have to tweak it a little but it should be right on if you do this.

Your best bet with this type of blog is to (1) keep up with the actor so it can also talk about recent news, and (2) use multiple forms of monetization, such as pay-per-click, commissions from sales, and traditional advertising.

Upcoming New Releases: Same concept as the one described under Music above, except that you will really need to develop a niche if you want to make money. Money-making niche ideas for movies are Sci-Fi, Kids, and Documentaries.

Rare Finds: Nothing is worse than searching for a movie online and not being able to find it. This kind of blog, a Rare Finds blog, could take off very well. You could build it slowly, creating a separate post for each rare find you come across. Hint: if you already have these rare finds you are willing to sell, fantastic, but if you don't, spend some time every day searching for them. If they are inexpensive, buy them, because you can resell them on your own blog for much more, because they are rare.

Reality TV Blogs

Reality TV blogs get a section of their own, because there are so many things you can do with them. Ultimately, your monetization should come from traditional ads in your sidebar or pay-per-click ads. But what will make your blog interesting is what you do with the content. You could create a spoiler blog, if you have access to information before hand, or create a re-cap blog, which will narrate the episode with as much detail as you can provide. Why is it so rare to find master number 22 in a persons numerology chart?

It seems as if finding a person that is a lifepath number 22 is rare enough, but I have yet to find any who has master number 22 anywhere else in their chart. Like as a the souls urge number or personality number for example. I notice the other master number,(11), is more common to find in a person chart than 22.

I agree with Enuii it is mathematically rare.
Also the way the calculation is done can cause lower instances of 22.

Take Quentin Tarantino the film director born 27 March 1963.
1963 = (1+9+6+3) = 19
March = 3
27 = (2+7) = 9

If you a then add these numbers as 1+9+3+9 you get 22.
However if you keep reducing the year and then add them 1+9 = 10 = (1+0) = 1 + 3 + 9 = 4

The free numerology web site I setup reduces the year completely before adding those numbers so Tarantino's Life Path is a 4.

However I also have a numerology application on my iPhone which reduces Tarantino's birthday to 22.

There's even more discrepancy with calculating personal years, personal days and months.
Is it possible to even have a 22 personal month?
If you have a 11 personal year does that mean November is always a 22 personal month?

I've found this to be a confusing and grey area of numerology.

How do I get my Antique Doll to sell?

I have an Antique German Bisque Kestner 171 Doll that I have been trying to sell for a long time. I have tried selling it on Ebay, Creigslist and Kijiji,lowered the price from $1000 to $900 to $700 to $500 and it still hasn't sold. Does anyone have any tips on selling it? Please help.

Either wait more time or try lowering the price further.
